Symbolic for Administrator covers all main topics about datacenter administration with Symbolic Web Management Console. The Course is designed for UNIX- and Linux-experienced users, networking specialists, and system administrators. This 3-day course provides intensive hands-on training on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and Symbolic Management Platform.

  • Installation, configuration and tuning
  • Certmaster and func installation (client, server, keys management)
  • Users, permissions and authorities
  • Define, condifugre and run commands in a netwokr-wide environments
  • Using reporting tools to get status of your infrastructure
  • Manging operations (import new scripts, define arguments, declare operations)
  • Using virtual machines management interfaces
  • Using cluster-wide advanced features for virtual machines management (live migration, etc.)
  • Use provisioning module (cobbler integration) to build new virtual and real machines

 

Prerequisites

Participants in "Symbolic for Administrators" should already be familiar with Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Recommended minimum competency level is completion of the RHCE or equivalent knowledge.
